Simplical structures of knot complements (Q812530)

The author obtains results which imply a bound for the number of Pachner moves [\textit{U. Pachner}, Eur. J. Comb. 12, 129--145 (1991; Zbl 0729.52003)] necessary for determining whether a 3-manifold is a given knot complement. The bound is in terms of the number of tetrahedra of triangulations of the manifold in question and the given knot complement. The bound is given as an iterated exponential and is very large.
