It has been proved in a previous paper that in the abstract hyperbolic-like case, the Riccati operator is an isomorphism [see \textit{F. Flandoli}, \textit{I. Lasiecka} and \textit{R. Triggiani}, Ann. Mat. Pura Appl., IV. Ser. 153, 307--382 (1988; Zbl 0674.49004)]. The main goal of this paper is to complement the treatment in the above-mentioned paper with some additional results that have already been mentioned (without proof) in some other papers by the same author. The proof of these results is given in the present paper.
