The main result of the paper says that the Covering Property Axiom CPA (game, prisms) introduced by the same authors [J. Appl. Anal. 9, No. 1, 19--55 (2003; Zbl 1038.03050)] implies that there exists a Hamel basis which is a union of less than continuum many pairwise disjoint perfect sets.
