    Let \(a=\{a_j\}_{j\geq 1}\) be a sequences of positive numbers, \(\ell^s(a)=\{ \{w_j\}_{j\geq 1}: w_ja_j\in\ell^s\}\) the weighted \(\ell^s\) space. A necessary and sufficient condition on a sequence \(\{z_j\}\) of points in the open unit disk is given so that for an arbitrary \(\{w_j\}\in\ell^s(a)\) there is a function \(f\in \mathbb H^p\) with \(f(z_j)=w_j\), \(j=1,2,\dots\), \(1\leq p,s\leq\infty\). The main result of the paper states that such interpolation is possible if and only if there is a positive constant \(\gamma\) such that \[ \sum_{n=1}^\infty \left(\frac{1-| z_n| ^2}{a_n\rho_n}\, | f(z_n)| \right)^t \leq \gamma \| f\| _q^t, \quad \rho_n=\prod_{m\not=n}\left| \frac{z_n-z_m}{1-\bar z_mz_n}\right| >0 \] for all \(f\in\mathbb H^q\); \(t\) and \(q\) are conjugate exponents for \(s\) and \(p\), respectively.
