An explicit formula for the \(1/N^2\) correction to free energy \(F\) of Hermitian two-matrix model \[ e^{-N^2F}:= \int \text{ d}M_1 \text{ d}M_2 e^{-N\text{ tr}\{ V_1 (M_1) + V_2 (M_2) - M_1 M_2\}} \] is derived using loop equations. In the presented model, the potentials \(V_1\) and \(V_2\) are given as polynomials and \(N\) is the size of the matrices \(M_1\), \(M_2\). The loop equations follow from the reparametrization invariance of matrix integrals and were earlier used in the case of the two-matrix model for finding \(F^1\) and in less extent for finding \(F^G\) in the case of an arbitrary genus \(G\) of the spectral curve. The presented results give also generalized expressions for \(F^1\) in the Hermitian one-matrix model. Relationships between the function \(F^1\), the Bergmann tau-function on Hurwitz space, the G-function (solution of Getzler equation) of Frobenius manifolds and determinants of Laplace operator in metrics with conical singularities over Riemann surfaces are analyzed.
