The problem of the 2D flow of a compressible fluid around a compact obstacle \(S\) is considered. \(S\) is included into a bounded domain \(B\). \(\Omega\backslash S\) is the region occupied by a fluid. The density \(\rho\) and the velocity \(v\) satisfy to the equations \[ \begin{aligned} -\nu\Delta v-\xi\nabla\text{div}\,v+\rho(v\cdot\nabla)v+\nabla p&=\rho f,\\ \text{div}(\rho v)=0 \quad \text{in}\quad \Omega, \end{aligned}\tag{1} \] here \(\nu\) and \(\xi\) are positive viscous coefficients, \(f\) is a given vector. Two types of boundary conditions are added to the system (1). First: \[ \begin{aligned} &v=0\quad \text{on} \quad\partial S, \quad v=v_0\quad \text{on} \quad\partial B,\\ &\rho=\rho_0\geq 0\quad \text{on} \quad \Gamma=\{x\in\partial B:\quad v_0\cdot n<0\}, \end{aligned}\tag{2} \] where \(n\) is the unit outward vector to the \(\partial B\). Second: \[ v=0\quad \text{on} \quad\partial\Omega,\quad \int\limits_{\Omega}\rho \,dx=M,\tag{3} \] where \(M\) is the prescribed mass of a fluid. The shape optimization problem of minimization of the drag with respect to the shape of the obstacle \(S\) is defined. The generalized solutions to the problems (1), (2) and (1), (3) which minimize the drag functional are introduced. The compactness of the sets of solutions to the problems (1), (2) and (1), (3) are istablished. It is proved that the problem (1), (3) has at least one generalized solution.
