The Cauchy-Neumann problem for a viscous Hamilton-Jacobi equation (Q816395)

The weak solvability of a viscous Hamilton-Jacobi (parabolic) equation with a Neumann boundary condition and irregular initial state is studied. The equation is given on a bounded open \(n\)-dimensional domain. The main attention in the paper is given to the proof of the theorem of existence and uniqueness of weak solutions in the case when the initial state is defined with the help of a bounded Radon measure. The issues of regularity of solutions and their dependence on the ``order'' of the nonlinear term are also discussed.
