The author considers graphs of constant mean curvature \(H>0\) on a plane domain. He proves an estimate for the difference of heights between two components of the boundary of such an \(H\)-graph. Using this estimate he derives two uniqueness results concerning the Dirichlet problem for the constant mean curvature equation on unbounded domains.
