The authors analyze the quantum mechanical scattering for magnetic edge states [\textit{K. Hornberger} and \textit{U. Smilansky}, Phys. Rep. 367, No. 4, 249--385 (2002)] in the presence of a constant magnetic field. The limit of the scattering operator is obtained when the magnetic field is large.
