The authors study the system of two differential equations (conservation law) with the algebraic constraint. This system describes heatless adsorption of a moving gaseous mixture of two components. The constraint means that the sum of concentrations of the components is the (constant) density of the mixture. The Dirichlet boundary conditions are provided. The authors prove the existence (under some simplifications) of a weak solution using a Godunov scheme. Uniqueness is proved in the class of piecewise smooth boundary conditions.
