A \((p_ q,n_ k)\) configuration is a collection of \(p\) points and \(n\) lines in the Euclidean plane such that each point is on \(q\) lines and each line contains \(k\) points. A configuration is called astral if its stabilizer in the Euclidean motion group has the least possible number of orbits on the points and lines of the configuration. These minimal numbers are easily seen to be \(\lfloor {q+1\over 2}\rfloor\) for the lines and \(\lfloor {k+1\over 2}\rfloor\) for the points. All astral configurations with \(q\) and \(k\) both even have been classified by the author in [Electron. J. Comb. 11, No. 1, R37 (2004; Zbl 1053.51002)]. In the paper under review all known results on the classification of astral configurations with \(q\) or \(k\) odd and \(q\) and \(k\) at least 4 are presented.
