The author considers the Fourier multipliers of the form \(m_{\nu,\mu}(\xi)=(1-\xi_1)^{\nu-\mu}(1-| \xi| ^2)^\mu\chi_{\{| \xi| <1\}}\) in \(\mathbb R^2\), \((\nu,\mu)\in \mathbb R^2\). In the case of \(\mu=\nu\), this is a Bochner-Riesz kernel. The main results are the following: In the case of \(\nu>0\), for \(1\leq p<\infty\), \(m_{\nu,\mu}\) is a Fourier multiplier for \(L^p\) if and only if \(\mu>\max\{| 2/p-1| -1/2,\,0\}\). And in the case of \(\nu=0\), for \(1< p<\infty\), \(m_{\nu,\mu}\) is a Fourier multiplier for \(L^p\) if \(\mu>| 1/p-1/2| \). This problem is motivated by the analysis of Bergman projections on the tube domain \(\mathbb R^3+i\Omega\), where \(\Omega\) is the light cone in \(\mathbb R^3\), \(\Omega=\{(\xi,\tau)\in \mathbb R^3\); \(\tau^2-\xi_1^2-\xi_2^2>0\), \(\tau-\xi_1>0\}\).
