Let \(M\) be a real hypersurface of the complex projective space \(\mathbb{C}\text{P}^n\), which is equipped with the Kählerian structure of constant holomorphic curvature 4, and suppose that \(M\) has a unit normal field \(N\). Then, by means of the complex structure \(J\) of \(\mathbb{C}\text{P}^n\) there are defined on \(M\) the ``structure vector field'' \(\xi:= -JN\) and the ``structure tensor'' \(\phi\) characterized by \(\phi(X)= JX -\langle JX, N\rangle\cdot N\). One has \(V:= \phi\nabla_\xi\xi= -A\xi+\langle A\xi,\xi\rangle\xi\), where \(A\) denotes the shape operator of \(M\). Furthermore, let \(S\) denote the Ricci curvature tensor on \(M\) of type \((1,1)\). In this situation the authors prove: If \(\nabla_VS= 0\) and \(S\xi= \sigma\xi\) with a constant \(\sigma\in\mathbb{R}\), then \(M\) is a Hopf hypersurface, i.e., \(V\equiv 0\) (see Theorem 4.1), which were classified by \textit{M. Kimura} in [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 296, 137--149 (1986; Zbl 0597.53021)].
