The author proves the invariance of a parametrized Khovanov link homology. This parametrized Khovanov link homology categorifies both the Jones polynomial and the Kauffman bracket polynomial. This proof is elementary in terms of giving an explicit description of retractions and chain homotopies between complexes corresponding to Reidemeister moves to show the invariance of this link invariant. Also this invariance is universal in the sense that it ensures the invariance for the parametrized Khovanov homologies for both the Jones polynomial and Kauffman bracket polynomial.
