Let \(M\) be a Hadamard manifold and consider the following initial value problem \[ \frac{-\partial u(t)}{\partial t}\in Au(t) ,\quad u(0)=x.\tag{E} \] where \(A\) is a monotone vector field on \(M\) that is \[\langle u, \exp^{-1}_{x}y\rangle+\langle v, \exp^{-1}_{y}x\rangle\leq 0,\quad\forall x,y\in D(A),\quad u\in Ax\quad\text{and}\quad v\in Ay.\] The authors of this paper extend the Crandall-Liggett exponential formula in nonlinear semigroup theory to Hadamard manifolds and show that a semigroup of contraction can be constracted by the resolvant of a monotone vector field on Hadamard manifold \emph{i.e} the generated semigroup by the exponential formula coincides with the semigroup generated by (E). In order to illustrate the theoretical finding, the authors present some important concrete examples. Compared with the existing results in the literatures, the results of this study are more general, for instance, the main results of this paper extend the results of \textit{H. Brézis} and \textit{A. Pazy} [Isr. J. Math. 8, 367--383 (1970; Zbl 0209.45602)] and \textit{M. G. Crandall} and \textit{T. M. Liggett} [Am. J. Math. 93, 265--298 (1971; Zbl 0226.47038)].
