The main result of the paper is a generalization of the following result to quasi-log canonical pairs: The projective variety \(X\) of a Kawamata log terminal pair \((X,\Delta)\) is isomorphic to \(\mathbb{P}^n\) if \(-(K_X+\Delta)\) is ample and \(-(K_X+\Delta)\) is numerically equivalent to \(rH\) for some Cartier divisor \(H\) with \(r>n=\dim X\). Namely, the authors prove that the scheme \(X\) of a quasi-log canonical pair \([X, \omega]\) with \(X\) connected is isomorphic to \(\mathbb{P}^n\) if \(\omega\) is ample and numerical equivalent to \(rD\) for some Cartier divisor \(D\) with \(r>n=\dim X\). Moreover, \(\mathcal{O}_X(D)\cong \mathcal{O}_{\mathbb{P}^n}(-1)\) and the pair \([X, \omega]\) has no qlc center. The proof utilizes Fujita's characterization of projective spaces using \(\Delta\)-genus, and generalizations of Kodaria vanishing theorem and the \(K_X\)-negative extremal contraction to quasi-log schemes.
