Weighted Hardy type inequalities and parametric Lamb equation (Q828173)

The authors derive and prove Hardy-type inequalities in one dimension with weight functions depending on the Bessel function \(\mathcal{ J}_v\) of order \(v\). The results obtained are also extended to \(n\)-dimensional convex domains with finite inner radius. The constants obtained in these inequalities depend on the roots of the parametric Lamb equation for the Bessel function and also turn out to be sharp in some special cases. Furthermore, weighted Hardy-type inequalities are also established in \(L^p\) spaces, with \(p \in [1,\infty)\). As a consequence of the results obtained, a new \(L_2\)-inequality with sharp constants is derived.
