This work considers those linear differential equations in a finite-dimensional Euclidean space, which are characterised by the first integral being represented by a nondegenerate quadratic form. The existence of a Gaussian countably additive invariant measure for such a linear dynamical system is derived and then used to address integrability as well as returnability within the context of the Poincaré recurrence theorem. Finally, an ergodic theorem for quadratic forms is discussed.
