Let \(G\) be a group and \(L\) be a subgroup of \(G\). Then, \(L\) is a \textit{TI-subgroup} (trivial-intersection subgroup) if \(g \in G\) and \(g \not \in N_{G}(L)\) implies \(L \cap L^{g}=1\). In the paper under review, the authors provide a complete classification of TI-subgroups of simple Suzuki groups \(\mathrm{Sz}(q)\) (Theorem 1.1). More generally, they provide a description of ordinary depth 3 subgroups of \(\mathrm{Sz}(q)\) (for an explanation of the concept of ordinary depth see Definition 2.5 in the paper).
