The authors continue their studies on mathematical aspects of Chorin's discrete approximation of the Navier-Stokes equations in [\textit{H. Kuroki} and \textit{K. Soga}, Numer. Math. 146, No. 2, 401--433 (2020; Zbl 1451.35111)]. In particular, global-in-time Leray-Hopf solutions and convergence of this method are considered, together with \(L^2\) error estimates, and applications to problems with time-periodic force and their asymptotic behavior.
