Let \(k\) be a quadratic number field. The author considers solvability of \[ X^3=u+v \] in non-zero algebraic integers \(X\) in \(k\) and units \(u,v\) in \(k\). As a consequence of the main result it is shown that if \(p\) is a prime number with \(p>3\) and \(p\equiv 3 \pmod 8\) and \(k=\mathbb Q(\sqrt{3p})\), then the above equation is not solvable. In addition to some further results, the author also formulates a conjecture. For Part I, see Bull. Pol. Acad. Sci., Math. 59, No. 1, 1--9 (2011; Zbl 1228.11039).
