The authors prove that any immersed Lagrangian submanifold in \(\mathbb C^n\) with quadratic self-tangencies is rationally convex. This generalises earlier results for the embedded [cf. \textit{J. Duval} and \textit{N. Sibony}, Duke Math. J. 79, 487--513 (1995; Zbl 0838.32006)] and immersed transversal [cf. \textit{D. Gayet}, Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 33, 291--300 (2000; Zbl 0972.53047)] cases. These are reviewed briefly in the present article and a new argument is presented for the latter.
