\textit{C. Alsina} and \textit{B. Schweizer} [Houston J. Math. 9, 303--310 (1983; Zbl 0524.54005)] have constructed a countable product of probabilistic metric spaces in such a way that the strong topology of the product space coincides with the product topology. In this paper, the authors study various issues related to the topology of a countable product of probabilistic normed spaces [cf. \textit{C. Sempi}, Mediterr. J. Math. 3, No.~2, 283--300 (2006; Zbl 1121.54050)].
