If \(K\) is a global field (i.e. a number field or an algebraic function field of one variable over a finite field of constants), by \(W_{K}\) is denoted a set of primes of \(K\) such that there exists a finite extension \(M\) of \(K\) where each prime of \(W_{K}\) has no factors of relative degree \(1\) over \(K\). Then \(W_{K}\) will be called a \(K\)-separable set of primes. The question raised in this paper came out of an investigation of some logical properties of subrings of global fields.
