A complex manifold \(Y\) is said to enjoy the Convex Approximation Property (CAP) if every holomorphic map from a neighborhood of a compact convex set \(K \subset {\mathbb C}^n\) to \(Y\) is a uniform limit over \(K\) of entire maps \({\mathbb C}^n \to Y\). In [Ann. Math. (2) 163, No.~2, 689--707 (2006; Zbl 1103.32004)], the author proved that this property is equivalent to the Oka property: for any Stein manifold \(X\) and any \({\mathcal O}(X)\)-convex subset \(K\) of \(X\), any continuous map \(f_{0} : X \to Y\) which is holomorphic in a neighborhood of \(K\) is homotopic to a holomorphic map \(f_1:X\to Y\), the maps between them being holomorphic in a neighborhood of \(K\) and close to \(f_{0}\) on \(K\). The aim of the note is to prove that CAP implies a stronger statement, the parametric Oka property, thus answering a question raised by \textit{M. Gromov} in [J. Am. Math. Soc. 2, No. 4, 851--897 (1989; Zbl 0686.32012)]. As a consequence of the result of the paper, all the Oka properties (parametric or not) are equivalent. The author suggests that the complex manifolds which satisfy those properties be called Oka manifolds.
