The authors examine asymptotically hyperbolic initial data satisfying smallness conditions in dimensions \(n\geq 3\), or fast decay conditions in \(n\geq 5\), or a genericity condition in \(n\geq 9\), and show that such data can be deformed, by a deformation that is supported arbitrarily far in the asymptotic region, to ones that are exactly Kottler (i.e. Schwarzschild-anti de Sitter), in the asymptotic region. Contents include: An introduction (containing an overview and statement of their principal results); Definitions, notations, and conventions; A uniform estimate for \(P^*\); The gluing construction on a moving annulus; The gluing construction on a fixed annulus; \(b\)-conformal deformations near infinity; Two appendices dealing with technical details; References containing twenty-two items.
