Courant morphisms and moment maps (Q843037)

The Hamiltonian spaces associated with Manin pairs \((E,A)\), where \(E\) is a Courant algebroid and \(A\subset E\) is a Dirac structure as special examples of morphisms of Manin pairs are studied. Combining two possible cases; \(E=A\oplus A^*\) and \(E=TS\oplus T^*S\) as a Courant algebroid defined by a closed 3-form on a manifold \(S\) the authors find a functorial correspondence between moment maps in quasi-Poisson and Dirac geometries. They also discuss Poisson spaces obtained via reduction of Hamiltonian spaces for a Manin pair \((E,A)\) and show that they agree with quasi-Poisson and Dirac reductions in specific situations. As an application of their results, the relationship between quasi-Poisson and presymplectic groupoids is discussed.
