This paper is concerned with the study of asymptotic expansion for solutions of singularly perturbed Douglis-Nirenberg equations. These are described by an eight' order elliptic differential equation. Various boundary conditions are imposed which lead to different expansions of solutions. The conditions imposed by the author are natural generalizations of those in dimension 2 encountered in the thin elastic shell theory.
