The author considers a mixture of two approaches to the stability of additive mappings: the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability (in the spirit of Aoki, Rassias, Gǎvruta,\dots) and the stability related to almost everywhere (with respect to some ideal) additive mappings (de Bruin, Ger). It is proved, roughly speaking, that a mapping \(f: G\to X\) from an abelian group \(G\) into a Banach space \(X\) which satisfies \[ \|f(x+y)-f(x)-f(y)\|\leq\varphi(x,y)\quad\text{for almost all}\;(x,y)\in G^2 \] (with some so-called admissible control function \(\varphi: G^2\to [0,\infty)\)) admits a unique additive mapping \(T: G\to X\) such that \(f=T\) almost everywhere in \(G\). Similar result is given for the Pexider equation. It should be mentioned that such a combined stability of additive mappings has been already considered by \textit{R. Ger} [General inequalities 3, 3rd int. Conf., Oberwolfach 1981, 263--276 (1983; Zbl 0519.39009)].
