Geodesic laminations revisited (Q844252)

Given a strictly ergodic unimodular Bratelli diagram \(B\) of rank \(2g+m-1\), the author indicates how to constrct an explicit minimal geodesic lamination with \(m\) principal regions on a hyperbolic surfaces of genus \(g\). The symbolic dynamics of a dense geodesic of the lamination is determined by the Bratelli diagram. The paper contains short reviews of geodesic laminations, Morse coding, Bratelli diagrams. The proofs are sketchy, not easy to understand, and based on interval exchange transformations.
