Let \(G\) be a connected reductive group over the complex numbers, and let \(X\) be a normal irredicible \(G\)-variety. Then \(G\) acts on the field of rational functions \(\mathbb{C}(X)\) and for a Borel subgroup \(B\) of \(G\) the set of \(B\)-eigencharacters forms a subgroup of the character lattice of \(B\) called the \textit{weight lattice} of \(X\). In this paper the author develops algorithms for computing this weight lattice for certain classes of \(G\)-varieties, namely homogeneous spaces \(G/H\), where \(H\) is a subgroup of \(G\), and affine homogeneous vector bundles \(G\ast_H V\), where \(H\) is a reductive subgroup of \(G\) and \(V\) is an \(H\)-module. It was shown by \textit{D. Panyushev} [Manuscr. Math. 83, No. 3--4, 223--237 (1994; Zbl 0822.14024)] that the computation of the weight lattice can essentially be reduced to the case where \(X\) is an affine homogeneous space, and one can also reduce further to the case where \(\text{rk}_G(X) = \text{rk}(G)\), see the author's paper [Mosc. Math. J. 8, No. 3, 493--519 (2008; Zbl 1168.14031)] and \textit{D. Panyushev} [Math. Ann. 301, No.4, 655--675 (1995; Zbl 0820.14033)]. The paper collects together a wide range of existing results and proceeds to an explicit computation of the weight lattice for an affine homogeneous space \(G/H\) with \(\text{rk}_G(G/H) = \text{rk}(G)\). This finally allows all these ingredients to be combined into algorithms for computing weight lattices for homogeneous spaces and affine homogeneous vector bundles.
