Let \(f\) and \(g\) be continuous functions on \([a,b]\) satisfying \(\varphi\leq f(t)\leq\Phi\) and \(\gamma\leq g(t)\leq\Gamma\) for all \(t\in [a,b]\). The classical inequality of Grüss asserts that \[ \left|\frac{1}{b-a}\int_a^bf(t)g(t)\,dt- \frac{1}{(b-a)^2}\int_a^bf(t)\,dt \int_a^bg(t)\,dt\right|\leq\frac 14 (\Phi-\varphi)(\Gamma-\gamma). \] In the present paper a more general version of the Grüss inequality is established. The proof relies on the theory of combined dynamic derivatives on time scales combined with techniques on dynamic derivatives. In a particular case, the authors prove a delta-integral Grüss inequality on time scales.
