The authors present a short proof of a theorem of \textit{D. B. Jaffe} and \textit{D. Ruberman} [J. Algebraic Geom. 6, 151--168 (1997; Zbl 0884.14015)] providing an upper bound of 65 nodes for a sextic in \(\mathbb{P}^3\) (which is sharp due to \textit{W. Barth}'s example [J. Algebr. Geom. 5, No. 1, 173-186 (1996; Zbl 0860.14032)]. An idea of \textit{J. Wahl} [J. Differ. Geom. 48, No.3, 439--444 (1998; Zbl 0931.14025)] is adapted.
