    The authors study a new proximal-type algorithm with interesting practical features and convergence properties for solving the following inclusion problem: find \(x\in H\) such that \(0\in A(x)\), where \(H\) is a real Hilbert space and \(A\) is a maximal monotone operator. An application to systems of nonlinear equations is given.
