Let \(R\) be a commutative ring with identity and let \(A\) be a unit in \(R\). For an oriented \(3\)-manifold \(N\), \(S(N)\) denotes the Kauffman bracket skein module of \(N\). That is, \(S(N)\) is the free \(R\)-module generated by framed isotopy classes of unoriented links in \(N\), modulo the Kauffman bracket skein relations written with variable \(A\). It is well known that \(S(S^3)\) is freely generated by the empty link. However, for some general manifold \(N\), \(S(N)\) can be difficult to calculate. Let \(\alpha\), \(\beta\) and \(\gamma\) be integers. Let \(M(\alpha,\beta,\gamma)\) be the manifold obtained from a \((2,2\beta)\) torus link by integral surgery, where \(\alpha\) and \(\gamma\) are parameters related to the framing of the two components of the link. The manifold \(M(2,-2,2)\) is the quaternionic manifold. This paper studies \(S(M(\alpha,\beta,\gamma))\). It is shown that if \(\alpha\), \(\beta\) and \(\gamma\) satisfy certain conditions, \(S(M(\alpha,\beta,\gamma))\) is finitely generated. In particular, when \(R\) is \(\mathbb{Z}[A^{\pm 1}]\), \(S(M(2,-2,2))\) is shown to be a free module of rank \(5\) and a minimal set of generators is given. For two other examples, finite generating sets are explicitly given. However, whether or not these sets are minimal remains an open question.
