Reflections on the relationship between perspective and geometry in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries (Q848882)

The author gives a list of treatises of perspective published or written by reputable artists in the 16th Century, discussing some of Piero della Francesca's work. Then he reproduces Desargues's proof of the invariance of the cross-section in perspective and concludes with some remarks on Desargues's and Pascal's approach to conics and the exchange of letters between Desargues and Descartes.
