    The authors consider the initial-value problem associated with the nonlinear Schrödinger equation \(u{_{t}}= -i\nabla\cdot(a\nabla u)+b{_{1}}\cdot\nabla u+b{_{2}}\cdot\nabla {\overline{u}} +c{_{1}}u+c{_{2}}{\overline{u}}+f(x,t),\) where \(x\in{\mathbb{R}}^{n};\) \(a\) is a real-valued, \(n\times n\) symmetric matrix with coefficients depending on \(x,\) \(t,\) \(u,\) \({\overline{u}},\) \(\nabla u,\) \(\nabla {\overline u};\) the \(n\)-vectors \(b_ 1\) and \(b_ 2\) depend on \(x,\) \(t,\) \(u,\) \({\overline{u}},\) \(\nabla u,\) \(\nabla {\overline{u}};\) and the scalar coefficients depend on \(x,\) \(t,\) \(u,\) \({\overline{u}}.\) Some sufficient conditions are obtained that guarantee the local well-posedness of the initial-value problem.
