Long range scattering for the wave-Schrödinger system with large wave data and small Schrö\-dinger data (Q852459)

In continuations of their previous studies in the theory of scattering [Ann. Inst. Henri Poincaré 3, 537--612 (2002; Zbl 1025.35014); ibid. 4, 973--999 (2003; Zbl 1106.35097)]. The authors consider the construction of modified wave operators (MVO) for the wave-Schrödinger system with Yukawa type coupling in \(\mathbb{R}^{3+1}\) \[ i\partial_tu=-\frac{1}{2}\triangle u+Au,\;\square A=-|u|^2, \] where \(u\) and \(A\) are respectively a complex valued and a real value function in \(\mathbb{R}^{3+1}.\) The existence of MVO with no size restriction on the wave data is proved and a direct method of their determination is suggested under smallness of the Schrödinger data allowing to determine the asymptotic behavior in time of solutions in the range of the wave operators.
