The authors prove the following theorem. Let \(X\) be the intersection of \(n\) quadrics defined over a number field \(K\) in \(\mathbb{P}^N\) and let \(f(n) = 2n^2+ 2n- 1\). Suppose that \(N+ 1\geq 2f(n)\) and that the signature \((r, s)\) of each of the quadrics over \(K_v\) for every real place \(v\) of \(K\) satisfies the condition \(\min\{r, s\}\geq f(n)\). Then \(X\) satisfies the weak approximation over \(K\), that is to say \(X(K)\) is dense in \(\prod_{v\in S}X(K_v)\) for any finite set \(S\) of places of \(K\). The authors write: ``The virtues of our theorem are that it gives full weak approximation rather than mere existence of solutions, and it does so for an arbitrarily large system of quadratic forms and without explicit hypotheses on the geometry of \(X\)''.
