This paper is devoted to the comparison of the dynamics of the wave equation damped in the interior of the domain \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^d\) \((d= 1,2\) or \(3\)) with the dynamics of the wave equation damped on the boundary of \(\Omega\), when the interior damping converges to a Dirac distribution supported by the boundary.
