The author considers the one-dimensional deformation space of the \(\mathbb{R}\)-Fuchsian \((4,4,4)\)-triangle group which is generated by the complex reflections \(I_j\), \(j\in\{1,2,3\}\), that preserve a totally real plane in the complex hyperbolic geometry \(H_\mathbb{C}^2\). In particular, he pays attention to such deformations \(G(4,4,n)\) for which the trace of \(I_1I_2I_3I_2\) equals \(1+2\cos\tfrac\pi n\). In the main theorem the author proves that the group \(G(4,4,5)\) is a cocompact arithmetic lattice in the group \(\text{PU}(2,1)\). He also describes an experimental method for finding the combinatorics of a Dirichlet fundamental domain and applies it to the lattice in question.
