One-dimensional \((1-d)\) sums are graded tensor product multiplicities for affine Kac-Moody algebras. The definition of a \((1-d)\) sum depends not only on an affine algebra but also on a simple Lie superalgebra, i.e. on an affine Dynkin diagram together with a distinguished \(0\) node whose removal yields the Dynkin diagram of a simple Lie algebra. Within any nonexceptional family of affine algebras, the \((1-d)\) sums have a large rank limit that the authors call stable \((1-d)\) sums. In [\textit{M. Shimozono} and \textit{M. Zabrocki}, J. Algebra 299, No. 1, 33--61 (2006; Zbl 1122.17018)] it was conjectured that every stable \((1-d)\) sum \(X\) has a simple explicit expression (called \(K\) polynomial) in terms of the Kostka-Foulkes polynomials. In the present paper the authors finish the proof of the previous \(X = K\) conjecture for tensor products of symmetric powers. Moreover, they consider a subfamily of Lusztig \(q\)-analogue of weight multiplicity that they call stable \(KL\) polynomials \(^{\infty}KL\). They obtain a type-independent proof that \(K = ^{\infty}KL\). In this way they prove that \(X = ^{\infty}KL\), i.e. that the family of stable \((1-d)\)-sums coincides with the family of stable KL polynomials, generalizing the result of [\textit{A. Nakayashiki} and \textit{Y. Yamada}, Sel. Math., New Ser. 3, No. 4, 547--599 (1997; Zbl 0915.17016)] in the case of one-dimensional affine sums of affine type \(A\).
