\textit{I. Gelfand, V. Retakh, S. Serconek}, and \textit{R. L. Wilson} [in Sel. Math., New Ser. 11, No. 2, 281-295 (2005; Zbl 1080.05040)] associated with any layered oriented graph \(\Gamma\) a graded associative algebra \(A(\Gamma)\). In some cases they found a linear basis of this algebra. The aim of the present paper is to show that under some minor restrictions the algebra \(A(\Gamma)\) is a Koszul algebra.
