The author studies Sinai's random walk in random environment. As is well known, the particle moves in a random potential with deeper and deeper valleys -- the deeper the valley the longer one waits -- and it spends most of its time near the bottom of the deepest valley. Here sharper estimates than known before are found about how close to the bottom of this valley the particle stays for most of the time. Also results on the local time are presented. All this is for a quenched problem, so for the behaviour in a typical environment.
