This paper is one of a series of papers of Geck, Geck-Rouquier and Jacon with the aim to obtain \(L\)-adapted parameterizations of simple modules of Hecke algebras, where \(L\) is a weight function defined on the corresponding Weyl groups. The parameterization is in terms of so-called ``canonical basic sets''. In this paper the authors consider the Hecke algebra of type \(B\) with parameters \(q,Q\) being integral powers \(\xi^a,\xi^b\) of a fixed non-zero element \(\xi\) of \(k\). With this set-up, a weight function \(L\) is naturally defined on \(W(B_n)\). The canonical basic sets were described by Jacon for certain choices of \(a\) and \(b\), notably the case where \(a=b\) and the case where \(b=0\). This paper determines the canonical basic sets for all the remaining choices of \(a,b\).
