A rectangular finite element method with interpolated coefficients for a second-order semilinear elliptic problem is introduced and analyzed. It is shown that the finite element method with interpolated coefficients has the same superconvergence property as that of classical finite element method, but is more economic and efficient. Numerical examples are also provided.
