Prescribing the scalar curvature on three dimensional spheres (Q857088)

In this paper the author studies the PDE on \({\mathbb S}^3\) connected to the problem of finding a metric conformal to the standard metric with a prescribed scalar curvature function. Using the theory of critical points at infinity of [\textit{A.~Bahri}, Critical points at infinity in some variational problems. Pitman Research Notes in Mathematics Series, 182. (Harlow): Longman Scientific \& Technical; New York: John Wiley \& Sons. (1989; Zbl 0676.58021)] the author is able to generalize a result of \textit{A.~Bahri} and \textit{J.~M.~Coron} [J. Funct. Anal. 95, No. 1, 106--172 (1991; Zbl 0722.53032)] on sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions to the PDE in question.
