Let \(q\in\mathbb{R}\), \(0< q< 1\), and \(\nu\in\mathbb{N}\). The authors prove that, for \(z= x+ iy\) with \(\{x,y\}\subset\mathbb{R}\), \(x> 0\), \(|y|< \pi(2\log q)^{-1}\), and \(\cos(y\log q)> q^x\), there is a meromorphic function \(s\mapsto \zeta^{(\nu)}_q(s, z)\), \(s\in\mathbb{C}\), such that \[ \zeta^{(\nu)}_q(s, z)= \sum^\infty_{n=1} f(n+ z,q)^{-s} q^{(n+ z)(s-\nu)} \] for \(\text{Re\,}s>\nu\), where \(f(x,q):= (q^x- 1)(q-1)^{-1}\), and determine the poles of that function. Moreover, it turns out that \(\lim_{q\to 1}\zeta^{(\nu)}_q(s, z)= \zeta(s, z)\), where \(\zeta(s, z)\) is the usual Hurwitz zeta-function (equal to \(\sum^\infty_{n=1} (n+ z)^{-s}\) for \(\text{Re\,}s> 1\), \(z\in\mathbb{R}\), \(0\leq z< 1\)).
