The authors deal with the blow-up rate of solutions for a semilinear heat equation \[ u_t=\Delta u+|u|^{p-1}u\quad x\in\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^d,\;t>0\tag{1} \] with critical power nonlinearity \(p=\frac{d+2}{d-2}\) and \(d\geq 3\). The authors show the existence of type II blowup solutions for the Cauchy-Dirichlet problems on suitable shrinking domains. The basis of the authors method is the scaling property of (1).
