Here the author proves that the subset of the moduli space \(M_6\) of smooth genus \(6\) curves, parametrizing the curves with a linear system for which the Petri map is not injective is a divisor. He describes explicitely this divisor studying integral degree \(6\) plane curves with \(4\) ordinary points as singularities.
